Rethink's Andy Cox wins Recruiter of the Year 2016

Andy Cox was crowned Recruiter of the Year at last nights REC’s Institute of Recruitment Professionals Awards (IRP Awards) ceremony at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London.


The victorious occasion also saw Andy, who works for ReThink Recruitment – a division of Rethink Group –awarded Permanent Consultant Of The Year.

The IRP Awards are the highest accolade an individual or company can receive in the recruitment industry and celebrates the inspirational work carried out by the very best in the business – speaking of it Andy said: “I am absolutely thrilled with this award.

“A key focus of my entry was certainly my drive and determination, another was the way I work with candidates. I have a strong desire to be successful in what I do and being one of the leaders in my field in the country. I want to be considered an expert in my field and am determined to be defined by brilliant performance and going above and beyond for each and every person I work for and with.”

Andy, who originally hails from Wolverhampton, studied at Leeds University and now resides in Balham in London, has worked for Rethink fort he past six years. His Group’s CEO Andy Lord added: “I genuinely cannot think of anyone who the awards are better deserved to than Andy. Not only is he a phenomenal consultant, he’s a fabulous colleague and I’m in awe of how damn hard he works – a true inspiration and a credit to Rethink Group.”

In his own words winner Andy “loves success” – crucially the success of his clients and candidates. Meeting their expectations and helping them fulfil their objectives is a key motivator – something which impressed the REC.

Concluding thoughts from REC chief executive Kevin Green: “Last night’s winners deserve a huge amount of credit and can be held up as the leading lights within recruitment. We know that recruiters transform lives, and the companies and individuals showcased this year demonstrate the value that our industry delivers every day.
